This Steam Method Ipoh salt chicken 盐焗鸡 is easily ready with the Mix Spice available in the market.
Serving : 3 to 4 person
Marinate : 3 hours
Preparation : 15 minutes
Cook : 60 minutes
Ingredients
2 pc large chicken drumstick
1/2 pack of Ipoh Salted Chicken Spices Mix (15g)
4 slices Dong Quai 当归 (Angelica Sinensis)
Portion Qi Zi 杞子 (Goji Berries)
4 slices Ginger
Instruction :
Rub mix spice on the chicken body and marinate for 3 hours. (This step should prepare earlier)
Boiled up water for the steamer
Place the chicken on to the aluminum foil, coated the balance mix spice on the chicken body. Place the Qi Zi, Dong Quai and ginger on top.
Pour in 4 spoon of water if you prefer to have more gravy
Wrap the aluminum foil and steam for 60 mins
Stir all vege in a mixing bowl with seasoning and set a side
Place the chicken drumstick in a bowl and sprinkle the tops with salt and black pepper. Coated the BBQ sauce over chicken, make sure all are well coated.
Place drumstick on to the baking pan, mixed vege at the side. Coated the balance sauce on to the chicken.
Put
in to the oven and roast for 45 minutes.
