Bukit Kutu Hiking ~ 2022

Bukit Kutu of "Treacher Hill" located in Kuala Kubu, approximate 70km from Kuala Lumpur. Getting there by car is only around 1hour from KL city. It is a formal hill station during the colonial of British Malaya, established in 1893 which serve as a accommodation for visitor. This hill station was abandoned in 1935 and later bombed by Japanese army during world world II, leaving it a ghost town with left over bungalow structure, a chimney and a well.

Bukit kutu trail has become popular route for hikers especially during the weekends. Is a moderate hike trail starting inside kampung pertak about 290 meter above sea level. Average hikers can complete in about 6 hours (4 hours uphill and 2 hours downhill).

I took 2.40 hrs to climb up Bukit Kutu Summit

 

1.30 hrs to hike down

KKB Town

 

I have wan tan mee @ KKB town before heading to Kampung Pertak

Easy trail and moderate incline 

 

Check Point 1, 2.8km (60 Mins) from start point

 

Clear and visible sign  for direction

 

Easy climb if no rain the night before

 

Start to see some big rock 4.2km (1.30 hrs) from start point

 

Keep climbing 

 

Check Point 3, Batu Tedung, 4.6km (1.40 hrs) from start point 

 

I took a 5 mins rest

 

Check Point 4, 4.8km (1.50 hrs) from start point 

 

Check Point 7, 6km (2.15 hrs) from start point 

 

Chimney, 6.7km (2.30 hrs ) from start point
